At the southwest corner of Delancey and Forsyth Streets, in the shadow of Templo Adventista del Septimo, a tiny parcel of Sara D. Roosevelt Park has become a colorful junkyard of sorts.

Watching garbage trucks negotiate the narrowest of city streets is always quite remarkable.  Of course, much to the dismay of trapped motorists.  That’s when the horns start sounding.  This particular truck eventually made it through.

Rats Come Alive on Orchard Street

There is a fairly nondescript trash bin at the northeast corner of Orchard and Grand Streets which comes alive every night.  Without fail. Being a quiet spot with tons of leftovers, neighborhood rats long ago marked this territory as a valuable refueling station.

We are fairly certain that this is not the proper disposal method for a bumper.  Just a wild guess.  Spotted at the northwest corner of Allen and Delancey.
