The Stanton Street Summer Sundays program is set to return for the second year running, courtesy of the Lower East Side Business Improvement District.  Beginning July 11, the family-friendly block party will occupy Stanton between Allen and Ludlow for three consecutive Sundays.

Just barely a week on, the Think Apples mural outside Mark Miller’s gallery at 92 Orchard Street is compromised.  One graffito now resides near the plywood doorway to Ja-Mil Uniforms.  Who’s next?  Jim Joe?

The renovation of Mark Miller’s gallery space continues at 92 Orchard Street, only now it will occur behind a shelter of bill-covered plywood.  A long sidewalk shed was erected late last week, spanning much of the block between Broome and Delancey.

Following up on yesterday’s post about the trove of antique shoes discovered inside 92 Orchard Street, here is a bit of video from the scene.  It shows Tenement Museum facilities manager Bob Yucikas inspecting the footwear.
