Tourist vs New Yorker Sidewalk Stunt Outed as Improv Everywhere

Thanks to Mashable, we now know who was behind the Tourist vs. New Yorker sidewalk stunt.  These lines were drawn across Manhattan, but most notably in the Lower East Side.  Fittingly, it was the ingenious folks at Improv Everywhere.

Almost like a secret treasure hunt, this graffito marks the spot on the simplified neighborhood map at the East Houston Bank of America branch.  SHY1 tagged 151 East Third Street as the “best place in NY.”

Line Drawn in the Rivington Sand

The proverbial line in the sand is now drawn on the Rivington sidewalk between Norfolk and Suffolk Streets. Directly across from Schiller’s.  It’s another chapter, albeit comical, in the age-old battle between New Yorkers and tourists. Just be careful where you walk! [Thanks to @donetodeath for the tip]
