West 4th Newsstand Revived

Defying the odds, the unique corner newsstand at the junction of West Third and Sixth Avenue was revived earlier this week.  For a little over a year, the green box had fallen into disrepair, papered with stickers, flyers, and the like.  But now it’s back, having dodged the Cemusa glass bullet.

New Cemusa Newsstand at Bowery and Delancey

There’s a new glass-box addition to the seedy northeast corner of Bowery and Delancey.  With the Bowery Ballroom and JMZ subway entrance mere steps away, the powers that be considered this a high traffic spot for a shiny Cemusa Newsstand.  Just what the already-narrow sidewalk needs.

Vacant Newsstand Makeover

The vacant newsstand near the corner of Thompson and West Third Streets recently received a fresh makeover. Instead of the traditional green with requisite graffiti, the whole facade is now painted brown.
