Harold Hunter Day at Coleman Playground

The weather was chilled, the boards grinding, and the beanies and hoodies plentiful. Such was the scene yesterday afternoon at the Coleman Playground skate park beneath the Manhattan Bridge on Monroe Street.  Dozens of young adults and kids assembled for the fourth annual Harold Hunter Day.

Allen Street Mall-terations Two Weeks from Completion

That massive “mall-teration” undertaking on the Allen Street Mall is hastily drawing to a close.  Over the weekend, volunteer artists working on scene informed us that the sidewalk masterpiece should be completed sometime in the next couple weeks, contrary to what we thought earlier.
