Bowery Boogie | A Lower East Side Chronicle

As mentioned yesterday, we are featuring photographs from the forthcoming Tenement Museum photo archive all this week.  The big project reveal will be on Wednesday, so stay tuned. Today’s selection truly tugs at the heart-strings.

Walking south down the Bowery these days, you may notice a not-so-subtle change in the skyline.  Indeed, at the corner of Hester Street, the Wyndham Garden Hotel is slowly rearing its concrete head above the low-rise surroundings.  Out of character. Out of context. Out of control.

It was only a matter of time before all the neighborhood filming for USA Networks’ White Collar finally premiered on the small screen.
