Right now, Seventeenth Street is the site of the latest film set for the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, scores of hired hands – production assistants, electricians, security, food people, etc. – are scrambling to prepare for tonight’s shoot.

Filming on Eldridge Street for Nicholas Cage’s new movie, Sorcerer’s Apprentice (a live-action contemporary take on the Disney classic), is now complete. However, as reported here last week, the brief disruption already took its toll on some unfortunate residents living at #22.
