Subway 66 Kitchen Equipment Delivery

Already months in the making, the in-progress Subway outpost at 66 Delancey is making a final push toward the finish line.  Yesterday morning, delivery trucks unloaded a store’s worth of kitchen equipment onto the sidewalk – everything from industrial microwaves to large glass casings.

As reported last month, Subway is opening another franchise location at 66 Delancey (aka Subway 66).  To officially announce its presence, the future foot-long hub added a huge hype banner to the storefront scaffolding yesterday morning.  Subman likely to follow!

66 Delancey is the recipient of more makeovers than one.  While restoration efforts continue up above, street-level renovation has begun inside the former wireless joint at the northwest corner of Allen Street.  And what will this long-dormant space become?  You guessed it – a Subway franchise!

The Palazzo Grey at 334 Grand Street is now marked with its first official graffito.  In recent days, a street writer tagged the west-facing facade of the nascent luxury building-cum-Subway food court.

Subway at 342 Bowery Now Open

A little over a month after announcing its intentions in the neighborhood, the Subway franchise at 342 Bowery (former Downtown Music Gallery) is now serving. This location is the city’s 134th location. Bon appetit.

Subman Spotted on Grand Street

It didn’t take long for Subway to install the wretched Subman near its new location at 334 Grand Street.  Over the weekend, we spotted the lame-ass mascot at the southeast corner of Allen Street.  A buffoon. We resisted the urge.
