Love Me Tagged on 243 Bowery

Sometime over the weekend, the south-facing facade of 243 Bowery was bombed with an epic “Love Me” tag. It sits alongside another illegible marking.  The block lettering of both are highly visible from street level, but even more so from the New Museum right next door.

Antagonist Movement on Wheat-Paste [Video]

It took a bit of time, but we now know who is behind those seemingly ubiquitous boner-dude wheat-pasters (“boner parade”) around the neighborhood.  The comical art is the handiwork of the Antagonist Movement, a consortium of artists, musicians, and writers based in the East Village since 1988.
