More Broken Glass at White Slab Palace

It’s three times a charm for White Slab Palace and their broken window situation.  Last summer, we reported on the two busted glass panes in the Delancey facade, which, to date, have not been replaced.  This third act of vandalism occurred in the last few weeks and, like its brethren, will probably remain unfixed.

White Slab Palace made national news yesterday, thanks to an incident involving their beloved taxidermy.  Apparently, a bar patron was struck by a falling moose head back in October.  According to the Associated Press, the negligence suit was filed last week, the plaintiff seeking unspecified damages.

77 Delancey Whitewashed

Last month, a team of painters whitewashed the east-facing facade of the iconic Bowery Savings Bank building at 77 Delancey.  The fading graffiti there was bleeding to death.

Last night, this blow-up doll let it all hang out near the Allen Street entrance of White Slab Palace.  Riding a bike, as it happens.  Clever ‘n classy.
