Another T-Mobile on Delancey
Earlier this week, a T-Mobile outpost opened at 166 Delancey, the former home of grease pit Clinton Papaya. We stopped by last night and noticed that the glass doors were open, broadcasting the company’s second presence in the neighborhood. Window ads are pasted firmly in place, but store signage is still lacking.
With the advent of another cell retailer on the northern stretch of Delancey, one thing is for sure – the wireless war is intensifying. Now with bookend real estate at both Clinton and Ludlow Streets (in the dreaded Ludlow Residence), T-Mobile is undoubtedly upping the ante on its competitors. AT&T is at the corner of Suffolk Street; newcomer Metro PCS sits near the intersection of Norfolk Street.
