Subway to Open at 334 Grand Street

Last time we checked in with the Palazzo Grey at 334 Grand Street, the building was struggling to find ground-level occupancy. Now the months-long dormancy is coming to an end. It turns out that the “amazing retail/cafe opportunity” advertised will soon become a Subway! Just let that percolate – a Subway at the corner of Ludlow and Grand Streets.

Over the weekend, we noticed a crew of men unloading skids of ovens, microwaves, a branded soda fountain, and other kitchen appliances. A quick peek inside revealed some steady progress. Alas, the worker who provided this information did not have an official opening date.

As for the remaining units in the building, it appears vacancy is the operative word.
