More on Brack’s Bowery Hotel

Remember how Brack Capital Real Estate gobbled up the parcels of 185-191 Bowery the last couple years?  Well the scaffolding has been in place for many moons, but there hasn’t been much activity.  Except for some homeless claiming the area as a living room.  In the interim, rumors were swirling about the planned hotel that would rise on the site.  A quick search on Brack’s official website reveals the following listing:

185-191 Bowery Hotel Manhattan

A 110,000 sq ft boutique hotel in Manhattan’s fastest developing neighborhood. The 224 room hotel is located in Nolita, with spectacular view of SoHo and its surrounding due to special air rights unique for its location. Construction expected to start Q2/2009.

Obviously, plans have hit a dead end, considering we are approaching third quarter.

Meanwhile an omen of sorts is propped in the window of the adjacent property.
