Another big budget blockbuster will be filming in the Lower East Side for the remainder of the week. Next up – The Other Guys, directed by Adam McKay (Anchorman). The Columbia Pictures production will be parked on Walker Street between Centre and Lafayette today and tomorrow; Lower Essex Street will host filming all day tomorrow.

Set on the streets of New York City, the “buddy-cop” comedy boasts a star-studded cast including the likes of Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson, and Eva Mendes.  Here is a quick synopsis of the plot:

When a forensic accountant and a trigger-happy detective, both of whom idolize the city’s top cops, get a chance to step up and improve upon their “B team” status, things don’t quite go as planned.

Marky Mark just can’t get enough of the neighborhood, what with his How to Make it in America filming seemingly every other day. Be sure to send us your pictures of the cast in action!
