Time Warner Cable on Cooper Square [Video]
Time Warner Cable has been turning up the heat lately on Fios. Commercials for the service air seemingly every break, touting the so-called merits of its monopoly and how Verizon pales in comparison. The spot which plays ad nauseum is “counterfeit sunglasses,” which no doubt strives to capture a Canal Street bodega type of vibe. And now there’s a new one.

In the latest televison advertisement, though, Cooper Square receives thirty seconds of face time. The setting is the upper level of a tourist bus riding south along Cooper Square, with our protagonist singing the praises of NY1. Landmarks featured most prominently are the new Cooper Union academic building (spacecraft) and the Cooper Square Hotel (glass dildo).
