Bike Lanes on Rivington, Stanton, and Suffolk Primed for Painting
Back in mid-March, Community Board 3 approved a proposal to create a series of protected bike lanes just north of the Williamsburg Bridge approach. It is hoped that these safety measures will help curb collisions along the treacherous Delancey by offering a less-trafficked, alternative route. Indeed, Delancey is no stranger to such accidents. On January 5, cyclist Fuen Bai hit a pothole near the corner of Ludlow and fell behind a bus, which then backed over her.
