Another old school bus shelter holdout along the M15 route has succumbed to Cemusa glass.  A new structure was assembled last week at the East Houston stop, but is still pretty bare-bones.  Proper bus stop signage is not yet in place, but of course the ads are.

As revealed last week, the M15 bus line will be getting some special treatment by the MTA.  And it should, considering it’s one of the busiest bus routes in America.  Under the new “Select Bus” service, there will be a dedicated lane painted terra-cotta brown, and a new approach to ticketing which relies on the honor system (tickets purchased at kiosk, but not checked).  The new plan goes into effect in the fall.
