Sweet Grapes Wine Bar at 39 Essex Street

We received an email yesterday with news about the new wine bar opening at 39 Essex Street – Sweet Grapes. Work is moving along at the “rustic, brick-walled” sipping spot, scheduled to open sometime next month. The tipster snapped the following photograph of a ladder worker removing the skeletal remnants of the old forest green awning.

Sweet Grapes Wine Bar is replacing Flowers on Essex, which just completed a move to 365 Grand Street, the former home of Isabella’s Oven (RIP). Yet, with the new location comes a slightly modified name – Essex Flowers. Now open.
