Antagonist Movement on Wheat-Paste [Video]
It took a bit of time, but we now know who is behind those seemingly ubiquitous boner-dude wheat-pasters (“boner parade”) around the neighborhood. The comical art is the handiwork of the Antagonist Movement, a consortium of artists, musicians, and writers based in the East Village since 1988.

This video explains the workings of wheat-paste art and the perpetual gallery show that is the street. How they are, in effect, trying to take back the streets from bill ads and faux graffiti. Cameos include bombing the former Shepard Fairey mural and the Germania Bank Building at Bowery and Spring.
