Charles Bank Gallery Now Open at 196 Bowery

Three months after residents moved in, the transition period of the trendier-than-thou Bowery Continental is now complete with the opening of the Charles Bank Gallery in the ground level. Interior decor is whitewashed to the extreme and has a fairly antiseptic feel as a result. The walls, furniture, and flooring are all painted some variation of white.

The contemporary art gallery opened yesterday evening at 196 Bowery with a launch party for the inaugural Kasper Sonne exhibit entitled “Pure Colors.”  Tally one more exhibition space for the new Lower East Side gallery district.

Gallery hours are noon to 7 pm, Wednesday through Sunday.
