Generation Um Filming on Rivington Tomorrow
Be on the lookout for his holiness Keanu, as filming for generation Um commences on the Lower East Side all day tomorrow. This just a month after film scouts were deployed to find scene-specific apartment locations in the neighborhood. Now the requisite fluorescent “no parking” signs are littered throughout the area bounded by Delancey, East Houston, Ludlow, and Clinton.

And IMDB finally has a listing on the film. It’s being described as an indie drama following “Reeves’ character and his two cohorts as they live life on the fringe, immersed in sex, drugs and indecision. As they navigate their daily routine of bars and crowds, they embark on a path of self-discovery.” Which of the neighborhood bars would you guess facilitate such discovery?
Mark Mann co-wrote the screenplay of generation Um and is pulling double duties as director.
