Coming Soon: Stellina at 95 Allen Street

Since opening in December 2008, cozy Italian spot Sorella has quickly become a neighborhood dining destination.  Business must be brisk, as the Piedmontese-inspired eatery is about to open a separate venture in the adjacent space at 95 Allen Street.  We’ve been following the interior renovations for weeks, and reached out to chef-owner Emma Hearst for conclusive deets.

And it appears this new restaurant annex will be a dessert affair called Stellina, slated to open in early December:

We are doing something new next door…it will not be an expansion…it is a brand new business. It will be a cafe/bakery called Stellina (little star). We will be serving gelato with homemade waffle cones, baked goods, chocolates, Sorella’s grissini, counter culture coffee program, milkshakes, sandwiches, salads and many other fun things. We will be doing late night gelato delivery until about 1 am.

We are currently in construction and looking to open end of November/beginning of December.

Don’t call it a BK bust just yet. The Burger King on Delancey Street continues its devolution, but we are assured it remains operational. Despite its looks.
