Parkside Lounge Says No to Lady Gaga on Jukebox

She’s been spotted eating at Remedy Diner, will soon release a fragrance with a “local” twist, and once lived at 176 Stanton Street. We are talking, of course, about Lady Gaga.  Even though the Lower East Side is the birthplace of Stefani Germanotta’s alter-ego, not everyone in the neighborhood has such pride invested in her.  Call it a case of superstar backlash.

The divey Parkside Lounge at 317 East Houston, situated just a few blocks near her old stomping grounds, issued a stern looseleaf-paper warning to all jukebox-playing patrons.  No Gaga tracks, or else you will be shamed! It reads:

No Lady Gaga!
You play, you pay! It will be turned off and your $ will not be returned
THIS IS YOUR WARNING
