Ludlow Guitars Hopes to Move Old Doors to 172 Ludlow

Nearly two months since moving just up the block, Ludlow Guitars is now nice and comfortable inside 172 Ludlow (formerly Marmalade).  This new location is almost identical to its longtime headquarters four doors south, but seems to carry a tad more of the definitely-do-not-touch-the-axes vibe.  And there’s also a nice temperature/humidity-controlled corner room for the acoustic product.

However, missing from the 172 Ludlow exterior is the old kickass signage.  We stopped in last week to purchase some guitar strings and inquired as to the whereabouts of said name signage.  The cashier informed us that it’s safe and sound inside 164 Ludlow, and that it should make the trip at some point soon.

He also intimated that the iconic stickered-up doors will be transplanted in the near future.  Think weeks, not months.
