Clinton Street Tree Tunnel in Trouble
Thanks to last week’s snowstorm, the unique Clinton Street tree tunnel is in dire straits. The narrow row of leaning trees beside the Greenthumb garden recently buckled under the snowpack, resulting in splintered limbs and a low-hanging canopy. But there’s still hope. Yesterday’s above-freezing temperatures helped melt much of the weight. Hoping for the best.

This arched passageway at the corner of Stanton Street has always been a favorite stretch of neighborhood sidewalk. A thin slice of the great outdoors in the concrete jungle.
