In the years since the locksmith shop closed its doors forever, the tiny space at 129 Rivington Street hosted an ever-changing cast of temporary shops and sample sales.  All operating under an awning that advertised the foregone tenant and its immediate failed successor, Everybody’s Going to Heaven.  Said awning has since been removed, and now the perennial pop-up shop is finally going permanent, so to speak.

Art and fashion blog Trendland is taking over 129 Rivington with a new concept called TOUCH, which bridges “together the intangible of the virtual and tangible of the physical world.”  We are told the venture is a Groupon type model re-imagined in a physical retail environment.  Each week, the store will rotate its interior identity based on a different featured product for sale.

Trendland will also be sharing the space with boutique creative agency Rivington Design House.
