Felix Morelo Brings Faces to Allen Street Hotel

Felix Morelo hasn’t been too active on the Lower East Side of late, but he recently made an appearance.  Within the last few weeks, the artist paid a visit to the incomplete (and for sale) Allen Street Hotel, branding several sections of the tunneled plywood with his trademark “face” chalkings.

Yet unlike his usual sidewalk sketches, this particular piece is protected from the elements.  It’s already survived numerous rain storms.  Alas, there’s no “good luck spot”!
