“Shakespeare in the Parking Lot” Returns to Lower East Side Next Week

Why trek uptown and wait for hours with the masses at the possibility of seeing Shakespeare in the Park?  The twentieth season of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot kicks off next week right here on the Lower East Side!

The critically acclaimed Shakespeare in the Parking Lot is returning to the municipal lot at Broome and Ludlow Street with a current reworking of “The Comedy of Errors.”  Performances begin July 7 and run Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through July 23. Directed by Kathy Curtiss, the Drilling Company production adapts the story of “mischance and mistaken identity to a modern pizzeria in Little Italy.”

“Hamlet” is slated to take the stage a week later.
