NYPD Searching for Two Armed Lower East Side Robbers

Two suspects are currently being sought by police in connection with a slew of armed robberies on the Lower East Side since late June. The most recent occurred just last Wednesday when one suspect approached a 64 year-old male in the rear of 250 Clinton Street, furnished a gun, and stole the wallet.

According to NYPD reports, the following crimes were committed:

Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:25 p.m. the suspects followed the victim a M/A/30, into a building in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and displayed a handgun and removed the victim’s keys, money and phone. The suspects then fled the location.

Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 2:15 a.m. the suspects approached the victim a M/W/26, in front of 283 Mott Street and displayed a handgun and removed the victim’s MP3 player and keys. The suspects then fled the location.

Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 2:35 a.m. the suspects approached the victims a F/W/23 and a M/W/30, at the corner of Rivington Street and Ridge Street and displayed a firearm and removed the victim’s handbags containing money, cell phones and credit cards. The suspects then fled the location.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 8:57 p.m. the suspects approached the victim a M/A/64, in the rear of 250 Clinton Street and displayed a handgun and removed the victim’s wallet. The suspects then fled the location.

The suspects are both described as black males aged 18-25 years. One is 5’7″-5’10” tall with a thin build and the other is 5′-5’6″ tall with a thin to medium build.
