Foley + Corinna Shutters 114 Stanton Boutique
Out with the (relatively) old. This weekend was the end of the road for Foley + Corinna on the Lower East Side. In a seemingly sudden move, the vintage purveyors, a mainstay for over five years at 114 Stanton Street, decided to end their reign in the neighborhood. A subsequent clearance sale was in effect to empty inventory ahead of the closure.

By yesterday evening, the windows were sheathed in brown paper and the security gates drawn. The local fashionista clientele is going crazy, some having already taken to Twitter to vent about the loss.
In the spring of 2010, the designer boutique launched a versitile online store, which now appears to be the predominant focus for the brand.
