UFO Sighting Above the Freedom Tower Last Week

Up there…it’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s definitely not Superman! A photographer claims that an alien spacecraft was recently interested in progress at the new Freedom Tower 1 WTC currently under construction. Last Saturday, this unnamed shutterbug snapped shots from the rooftop observation deck of the New Museum and claims to have captured a diamond-shaped UFO in the skies above Lower Manhattan. He noticed the alleged aircraft in four frames of the set.

Examiner has more:

“On closer inspection I noticed what appeared to be regular markings and windows on the craft,” the witness stated. “It had to be moving at an incredible rate of speed for it to have moved as far as it did give the frame rate it was captured at. It seems to be faintly emitting both blue and red light from the openings on its back area.”

The photographer is looking for additional opinions on what the object might be. The MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) report was filed on September 23, 2011. The event occurred on September 17, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

As Ghost Theory noted, Manhattan is at Alert Level 3 for UFO activity with 46 alleged sightings in August alone.  Do you think this latest sighting is an elaborate hoax or clever photoshop trickery? Skeptics and cynics, have at it in the comments.
