Ramdane Boutique Now Open at 64 Kenmare Street

If a loud, eye-catching storefront was the ultimate goal, then 64 Kenmare takes the prize.  Formerly a psychic den named Psychic Reader, this retail space had fallen into a musty oblivion of late.  Back in September, it hosted a magazine release party for Cheap Thrills, but we hadn’t heard a peep since.  As of last Thursday, it’s now an eponymous home of commerce for Ramdane Touhami and his new high-brow fashion concept called Ramdane.

Within the last couple weeks, the entire space was re-imagined and completely upscaled. The facade was adorned with stoop-to-marquee mesh-work and orange Day-Glo doors.  In fact, the store doesn’t even look open, so ownership had to rely on a “yes, we’re open” hardware store sign to assure customers of what’s happening here.

Meanwhile, the interior itself seems rather antiseptic, with bright fluorescents and not too much clothing.  Typical boutique.
