Sons of Essex opened barely a month ago at 133 Essex Street, and it’s quickly gaining significant exposure, having recently scored background duties in a new flick entitled The Longest Week. Word on the street is that the nascent restaurant space is rented for two days of filming starting later today. So brace yourselves for the obligatory trailers and resultant mayhem. The Longest Week is written and directed by Peter Glanz, and stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, and Billy Crudup. Production began earlier this month across the Five Boroughs, with last week’s Brooklyn Heights shoot making international headlines for some smooching between Bateman and Wilde. Meanwhile, former SNL actress Jenny Slate, who notoriously dropped the F-bomb during her debut episode, recently joined the cast as well.

This so-called dramedy follows the story of Conrad Valmont (Bateman) who “lives a life of leisure in his parents’ prestigious Manhattan hotel.” The title of the production refers to the week of time in which the protagonist is evicted from his lap of luxury, disinherited from the family, and fallen in love.
