“Damages” Returns to Film Scenes on the Lower East Side Today
Lots of film shoots around the Lower East Side lately, for both TV and Hollywood. It’s seemingly neverending. Today the neighborhood will again play host extraordinaire to cable legal drama Damages after a nine-month break. The obligatory filming signs were taped to street furniture yesterday along the environs of Sara D. Roosevelt Park below Delancey.

Production is now underway on the fifth and final season of Damages. The ten-episode arc, scheduled to air exclusively on DirecTV in summer 2012, will welcome Ryan Phillippe in a “major role” alongside principal Glenn Close.
