Although the window treatments are still firmly in place, Suite Orchard at 145 Orchard Street is very much a faint memory at this point. Such is the pulse of the city. Now two months after we broke news that the four-year-old threads shop went belly up, there is already movement inside the valuable corner real estate. Word on the street says that Reebok is co-sponsoring a temporary pop-up installation here.

Sources say the urban lifestyle purveyors at Reed Space are teaming up with the sneaker company to create a sort of “live multimedia” art-music room. Apparently, over the course of a few months, visual artists will be paired with musicians to create output onsite. The fruits of this in-store labor will reportedly be available for purchase.

More concrete details remain scant at the moment, but we understand the first installation should arrive in the coming weeks.
