Fumero’s Mural at 90 Stanton Street
Springtime temperatures are (hopefully) here to stay, and street art is beginning to bloom alongside the flowers. Le Salon d’Art opted for a colorful exterior makeover this time around, commissioning a striking new mural by Fumero. In his own words, the mission was to “bring the color of life onto a cold metal, lifeless gate.” The city-based artist was last spotted at 90 Stanton as part of the art show here a couple months ago. Just another helping of Fumeroism for the Lower East Side.

Barely a week after the paint dried, however, the new mural has already fallen prey to an errant tagger.
