ABC’s “Americana” Filming on Orchard Today

If there’s one constant on the Lower East Side of late, it’s the barrage of filming along our neighborhood streets. Between Now You See Me, Inside Llewyn Davis, and a slew of network pilots, the bases have been covered. Today, it’s back to television.

The new fashion-centric ABC pilot, Americana, is set to occupy Orchard Street and the immediate vicinity for the remainder of the day. Anthony LaPaglia was cast in the lead role of successful designer Robert Soulter, whose “Americana” fashion label is a dynasty. The plot follows all the soapy drama present in the family business. Co-stars include Nikita actress Tiffany Hines and Twilight star Ashley Greene.
