Louie C.K. Filming on Forsyth Street Today

Nabisco may have dropped the “Fig” from its popular Fig Newton snack packs earlier this month, but that’s not stopping Pig Newton from a recent spat of filming activities. “No Parking” signs are littered down the length of Forsyth, from East Houston to Broome Street for today’s shoot.

Before your mind races with crazy possibilities, know that this is a routine ploy by Louis C.K. to throw fans off the scent. Indeed, Pig Newton is the name of his production company. The hilarious local comic will be filming scenes for the forthcoming third season of Louie on FX.

In other Lucky Louie news, Mr. CK is also considering another independent release in the vein of his wildly successful Live at the Beacon Theater.
