Rivington Deli & Grocery has held down the middle block real estate at 94 Rivington for many years already. That lengthy tenure is set to conclude within days, though.

Indeed, earlier this summer, the news arrived in no uncertain terms – that all-too-familiar Misrahi Realty sign stashed in one of the widows. (Misrahi is located a couple doors to the west). Rents are reportedly on the rise, and maintaining this store no longer made economic sense. On a recent visit for some provisions, the cashier explained that the bodega is clearing out starting Monday, at which point the operation will merge with sister grocer one block east. Yup, SX Grocery is under the same ownership, so the two are consolidating.
