Around this time last year, Lilliput Soho liquidated stock from the 240 Lafayette location and consolidated with its second store across the thoroughfare.  The move left behind a retail footprint seemingly ripe for the picking. No takers stepped to the plate until late summer, signaled by the construction of a plywood shed onsite. Needless to say, the space remained without identification. DOB permits told us it was some sort of eating establishment; the banner that arrived earlier this month confirms the arrival of fro-yo.

16 handles is entering the game here on the eastern fringe of SoHo, upping the ante in the hyperlocal yogurt wars. Frozen foes Pinkberry and Red Mango are merely a few blocks from 240 Lafayette.
