East Fourth Street Makes Its “Boardwalk Empire” Cameo

The fictional Carmine Street Garage constructed over the summer on East Fourth Street finally made its cameo in Boardwalk Empire Sunday night. We see Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky talking shop with Joe Masseria, with a line of tenement housing visible in the background.

At the time of filming, the vacant lot neighboring the Cornelia Connelly Center was swarming with period-specific props and costumes meant to resemble another space across town. A sight to have beheld.
