Memorial for Zucco Outside Le French Diner

At that precise moment, the beloved Zucco suffered a heart attacked, falling to the pavement outside his venerated Lower East Side establishment on Orchard Street. Many in the neighborhood subsequently questioned whether Le French Diner could continue without its pillar. Three years on, we’re sure glad it maintains a presence here…
To mark the somber occasion, a makeshift memorial of flowers and photos was assembled outside the vacant southern storefront of 188 Orchard Street.
