Lower East Side tattooist-for-the-stars Bang Bang faces a $2,000 fine thanks to an incident inside his 26 Clinton Street parlor last June. It has recently come to light that the Canadian singer was given permission to ink a “muscular mouse” and the word “swaggy” on the owner’s leg. Ordinarily this probably wouldn’t be an issue, but New York State law insists that all tattoo artists must carry a license before carving indelibles into people.

Bang Bang, whose real name is McCurdy, was reprimanded by the state for the same action four years ago when he allowed Rihanna to stamp an umbrella (ella ella) and letter R onto his arm.

The following video emerged last week on the Daily Mail UK, and gossip rags haven’t been able to contain themselves in the interim. Funny how it’s taken nearly a year for this to leak. The slap on the wrist is good press for Bang Bang.
