Friggin’ Daft Punk. Their strategy is to string us along. Brilliant, but aggravating. Columbia Records recently leased the billboard space above the BP gas station for another Random Access Memories plug. Its other high-profile placement above the Bowery, however, was recently deposed.
Meanwhile, thanks to the world wide internetz, leadoff single “Get Lucky,” featuring Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, was leaked earlier this week. It is bliss. But the label is struggling to contain and take down the content while it spreads like wildfire.
