‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Filmed on Delancey Yesterday

Under the misleading guise of “London Calling,” The Amazing Spider-Man 2 spent all afternoon yesterday camped on the eastern end of Delancey Street, in the shadows of the Masaryks. The scene in question was an action sequence of a car collision in the intersection of Columbia Street.
All the prop vehicles were in attendance – police cruisers, an MTA bus with a Wall Street destination, random taxicab, etc. Fire personnel were around for the smoke portion of the segment, presumably used after the crash transpired; and a DOT hand was also employed to switch off/on the traffic lights during the eight-hour period. None of the A-listers were there, just the stunt doubles.
Probably the most notable culture clash during filming was after evening services let out at the Lutowisker Synagogue.
