[Photo: Bang Bang]Last time Justin Bieber and Bang Bang were concurrently in the news, the latter tattoo artist had found himself in some hot water. In June 2012, the Biebs was permitted to tattoo a “muscular mouse” and the word “swaggy” on Bang Bang’s legs. Despite the resultant $2,000 fine, there doesn’t seem to be bad blood. The teen idol was back on the Lower East Side this week for another ink job.

The latest indelible is an eye, alluding to the notion that “moms [sic] always watching.” The image on Bieber’s Instagram, an ode to his very vocal mother Patti Mallette, netted some 75,000 comments.

Bang Bang told MTV News:

For him, it was just like his mother watching over, kind of like a protective thing. It’s totally from mama. We were talking about how we both have tattoos for our mothers and how it’s something you’ll never regret.
