[Photo: Moscot]Moscot just crossed another body of water for the second time in as many years. This time, though, it’s international.
Indeed. A year and a half after opening a location at 159 Court Street in Brooklyn, the historic eyewear company is expanding again. Moscot crossed the Pacific Ocean and recently opened a satellite in Seoul, South Korea. It’s the brand’s first ever retail presence outside the country and fourth overall.
Well, that was out of nowhere. Here’s more from the press release:
In cooperation with our Korean distribution partner, CED Int’l, MOSCOT Seoul has opened its doors in the fashionable Songpa-gu district in Seoul — where we feel right at home, as it’s very much like our own backyard…downtown New York City!
Fans will be pleased to find familiar MOSCOT touches, including the same quirky historical tchotchkes, warm cherry wood eyewear showcases, and our ubiquitous MOSCOT yellow. But while paying homage to the Big Apple, our new Shop also pays respect to its hometown, seamlessly blending Korean design and cultural elements into the mix.
MOSCOT Seoul, which is now open, will celebrate its grand opening in late October 2013 (date to be announced), when the MOSCOT team heads to Seoul to help celebrate!
