It’s not often that we see filming activities around here for Cinemax productions. Nevertheless, that’s happening later today. The newest Alan Ball series, dubbed Banshee, will focus its energies around Canal and Eldridge Streets to capture scenes for season two. This despite a plot centered in a fictional Amish town outside Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The story follows protagonist Lucas Hood, who is an ex-convict and master thief who assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff in Banshee, PA. Brief synopsis via IMDB:
Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-con and master thief assumes the identity of a murdered sheriff where he continues his criminal activities. His past seems to haunt him by those he betrayed years earlier. This ex-con imposes his own brand of justice where violence erupts at every turn in the not so quiet Amish town, Banshee, Pennsylvania.
Screenwriter Alan Ball serves as executive producer behind Banshee. The guy is behind some serious hits in the last decade or so, including Six Feet Under, True Blood, and the movie American Beauty.
