The suspended scaffold made an appearance above ‘inoteca a couple weeks ago to prepare the facade for some paint-by-numbers advertising. We can’t remember ever seeing a painted billboard on the east-facing exposure of 92-94 Rivington, but nevertheless, it just happened. For the fifth installment of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise.
And on a related note, the mural is located above where Diamond Dave once lived. Yup. David Lee Roth described it as the noisiest corner in all of Manhattan, and that was back in 2005.
