Community Workshop Against ‘Formula Retail’ Stores in the East Village is Tomorrow Night

The East Village and Lower East Side are organizing to fight “Formula Retail,” which is simply a euphemism for chain stores. We’ve already seen it with the highly-vocal “No 7-Eleven” grassroots organization that first rallied to oppose a 7-Eleven at 500 East Eleventh Street (Avenue A).

Tomorrow evening, the East Village Community Coalition is hosting a workshop against the invasion of said formula retail.

Join EVCC November 19th from 6pm-8pm at the Neighborhood Preservation Center, for a community workshop on Formula Retail. The workshop is open to all but space is limited.
